In a recent episode of the GTDC’s Beyond Distribution podcast, TD SYNNEX leaders Reyna Thompson, President, North America, and Jessica McDowell, SVP, North America Marketing and Digital Customer Success, shared their perspectives on navigating change in today’s rapidly evolving technology distribution landscape. Reyna reflected on her first months as president, highlighting how the organization has unified culturally post-merger and accelerated its digital transformation strategy. Key initiatives like Digital Bridge, an enhanced PartnerLINK community approach and a new partner loyalty program were cited as examples of how TD SYNNEX is helping partners scale capabilities and succeed in a digital-first marketplace. Reyna emphasized the importance of balancing innovation with operational excellence:
“I think you’re going to hear quite a bit from us around how we want to innovate, the fact that we want to be sort of the distributor of choice when it comes to innovation, collaboration, and really how we drive operational excellence.”
Jessica expanded on the organization’s customer-centric digital strategy, noting how TD SYNNEX is embedding automation and data insights into every stage of the partner journey, including through data-driven campaigns, comprehensive digital platform experiences and sales enablement tools that support targeting new opportunities. In the midst of this digitalization, Jessica also emphasized the importance of retaining the human element:
“Customers want a digital experience. They want ease of transaction. They want to be able to find information easily… but at the root of all of it is humans. Yes, we’re moving into a digital world… but at TD SYNNEX, our big focus is making sure that we don’t lose that human element because relationships matter.”
Both leaders underscored the growing complexity in the ecosystem, the need for flexible, scalable solutions, and the pivotal role of distribution in guiding partners through AI, cloud, and security transitions.
