At TD SYNNEX, we believe that our differences make the difference. Today is International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPWD). This day of recognition focuses on promoting the well-being and welfare of people with disabilities. Globally, there are over 1 billion people living with some form of visible or invisible disability.
Starting today, we will increase our commitment to people with disabilities, whatever those may be. Disabilities can impact any one of us, our co-workers, families, friends, and communities. Our goal is to be an accessible workplace for all, increasing the employment and development opportunities for people with disabilities, whilst continuing to build a culture where we take great care of each other.
Today our co-workers in Europe announced their commitment along with plans to launch a new business resource group (BRG) named “Limitless.” I am excited to see our pledge to disability inclusion driving forward.
International Day of Persons with Disabilities is one day on the calendar, yet it symbolizes the actions we should take every day. It starts with listening and learning from those who have stories to share. This is the next chapter in our DEI journey, and we have a lot of work to do but today, we can proudly declare that we have started.
