Take a peek into Jessica Yeck’s inspiring experience as a volunteer with the TD SYNNEX Share the Magic Arizona Chapter and local organization Phoenix Dance Cooperative.
This month’s Feel Good Friday spotlight highlights Arizona based co-worker, Jessica Yeck, Senior Vice President of Vendor Solutions. Recently named a Channel Chief, Jessica truly embodies what it means to be a TD SYNNEX changemaker, dedicating years to serving others and her community. From early in life, Jessica learned to value volunteerism, sharing:
“If I go back to why I volunteer now, a lot of it has to be with how I grew up. Volunteerism was extended to me as a recipient. I’ve recognized over the years and through life that volunteerism is how the world goes around.”
For Jessica, volunteerism is threaded in her identity and fuels her passion to help others.
Jessica has taken an active role in leading the TD SYNNEX Share the Magic Arizona Chapter. Share the Magic is TD SYNNEX’s annual fundraising program designed to provide the much-needed funding for a carefully selected group of community partners in key North American markets where TD SYNNEX has a presence. The Arizona Chapter supports House of Refuge and Arizona Special Olympics. Within this role, Jessica focuses on engaging with organizations and local charities, alongside organizing fundraising events.
Jessica has not only led the Share the Magic Arizona Chapter but has also significantly contributed to fostering a culture of inclusion and support through her involvement with Elevate, TD SYNNEX’s women’s resource group serving as a chair for over 10 years. She says:
“This group has been a cornerstone for discussions on career development and work-life balance, providing a crucial space for both women and men to support each other’s growth.” Jessica’s commitment to Elevate has been a source of personal growth and satisfaction, showcasing the power of community within TD SYNNEX.”
As a mother, Jessica also dedicates her time volunteering with a local organization called the Phoenix Dance Cooperative. The Phoenix Dance Cooperative is a parent-run, nonprofit dance studio which has served as a “second home” for her daughter who is a dancer and shares Jessica’s passion for volunteerism.
“My daughter is heavily involved in volunteerism, and so we do that together, as a bonding experience,”
Because of Jessica’s dedication and passion, TD SYNNEX has also supported the organization through a donation from the TD SYNNEX Charitable Giving Program that allows U.S. Based employees to request funds for organizations they support.
So, how does one as driven and dedicated as Jessica Yeck manage her personal and professional life and her dedication to her community?
“In my life, these are the things that fuel me. I create my days based on those things that give me energy. It’s a balance, sometimes off-balance, but I do the best I can.”
At TD SYNNEX, volunteerism is woven into our values as a company, and the mission of our Community Relations program is to support co-workers, like Jessica, who are passionate and driven to make a difference in their communities.
As Jessica states herself, “I couldn’t work for a company that did not have this [volunteerism] as their core value… It really is what gives us the reputation and the recognition to our co-workers.”
