Becoming a Partner of the Future in the Next Chapter of Digital Transformation

Leveraging our AI Accelerator Program to monetize new high-growth technology solutions in North America

The rapid evolution of AI is a phenomenon all too familiar to those in the technology industry. As discussed in our recent article where we evaluated our 2024 predictions, partners across the channel are eager to incorporate AI into their business strategy and offerings, particularly across high-growth technologies such as cloud, cybersecurity, data analytics and modern infrastructure. This convergence indicates a new chapter of digital transformation that will bring our industry to the next level.

We’ve noticed these advancements happening faster than expected; Data from the latest TD SYNNEX Direction of Technology Report indicates that the number of partners offering AI and machine learning (ML) solutions surged by 625% in 2023 compared to 2022. AI and ML adoption is expected to continue in coming years, with 34% of partners planning to offer AI and ML solutions by 2025, a significant jump from just 14% in 2022.

This new age of digital transformation creates a pressing need for partners to understand how new technologies can be used in tandem. We view the “Partner of the Future” as one who is ready to tackle this challenge by diversifying their portfolio, honing new skills and developing unique expertise spanning multiple high-growth sectors.

We recently launched the High-Growth Center of Excellence (CoE) to educate, enable and empower our Partners of the Future to confidently implement complex high-growth solutions. To date, we’ve helped over 400 partners transform and scale their businesses through the resources in the CoE and are constantly finding new ways to engage with them and improve our enablement initiatives.

One of the ways we’re doing that is through our new AI Accelerator Program.

Leveraging Destination AI™, this program helps partners enter the AI and high-growth market by providing them with the tools they need to succeed. Each program is tailored to a specific market ready solution, an AI workload tied to  a vertical use case, so partners receive resources that are directly related to their customer’s needs.

Our first program, executed as a pilot, which launched in June, enables partners in the retail space to go to market with VisionAI – a solution aggregated by TD SYNNEX that combines offerings from Intel, SAS and meldCX to enhance retail operations and elevate customer experiences.

Through the course of six weeks, select partners form a cohort and commit to participate in hands-on training sessions and receive customized sales, marketing and technical enablement resources to expedite their go-to-market strategy. The program leverages our newly developed AI Practice Builder, which involves strategic planning to target specific partner customers. This collaborative approach helps us better understand our partners’ goals and challenges in entering the high-growth market. This program is just one way we continue to invest in our partners’ AI strategy, and it has gained interest since it delivers a direct path to revenue.

The program emphasizes person-to-person connection. Even in an increasingly technological world, in-person collaboration is the cornerstone of business; it’s how you expand your network and form lasting relationships. In line with this component of the AI Accelerator Program, we recently hosted 12 partners for an in-person workshop at our new 1,000 sq. ft. floor space at MxD, a state-of-the-art innovation center in Chicago where we showcase market-ready AI and IoT manufacturing solutions. Here, our program participants worked directly with business and technical experts from TD SYNNEX, Intel, SAS and meldCX to create customized go-to-market strategies for this solution.

As partners complete the program, they will receive recognition of their accomplishments through the receipt of a credential and ceremony in October at Inspire, our largest annual partner conference. As future AI Accelerator solutions are rolled out across all our AI technology segments, content, curriculum and badges will be created and awarded to partners who complete all facets of the program.

Eyeing the Horizon

Our position at the center of the IT ecosystem gives us unique insight into what is on the industry’s horizon. The High-Growth Center of Excellence launched to empower partners to embrace opportunities AI’s rapid advancement created, and we predict these opportunities will only become more plentiful.

It can be difficult for partners to take advantage of emerging technologies for many reasons, including gaps in knowledge, skills and scale. We make it easier for them by constantly evolving our support and enablement initiatives to keep up with the changes – one example of that being that the AI Accelerator Program will eventually provide tailored support for a wider range of TD SYNNEX’s aggregated solutions and partner vertical focuses.
