Broadcom is taking significant steps to address the challenges small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) face in adopting private cloud solutions. By introducing a new program, VMware Migration Services, as part of its Expert Advantage Partner (EAP) Program, Broadcom aims to simplify the deployment of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and VMware vSphere Foundation (VVF) for smaller enterprises, enabling them to unlock the full potential of modern private cloud environments.

Addressing SMB Challenges in Private Cloud Adoption

Private cloud solutions are increasingly becoming the preferred choice for enterprises of all sizes, offering scalability, security, and flexibility. However, SMBs often struggle to fully leverage these benefits due to limited IT expertise and resources. As a result, they are missing out on the advanced features and scalability that VCF offers.

Broadcom recognizes this gap and is committed to helping SMBs overcome these challenges. By adding VMware Migration Services to its EAP Program, Broadcom provides SMBs with access to partner-designed and partner-delivered consultative services, as pre-packaged solutions including expert guidance to simplify their transition to private cloud environments.

Broadcom and our distribution Expert Advantage partners are adjusting to our changing environment. With an increase in demand for deployment and implementation services to migrate from vSphere to VVF and VCF, innovative programs, like TD Synnex North America Services, address that trend and ensure customers are maximizing the full benefit of VCF and add-on offerings.

Collaboration with TD SYNNEX to Simplify Services

Broadcom collaborated with TD SYNNEX, a leading distributor, to design and roll out the inaugural VMware Migration Services program. TD SYNNEX has created specific service packages as part of their North America Services offering, a suite of end-to-end technology services. These packages bundle products and services to accelerate the adoption of VCF and VVF, offering SMBs a streamlined approach to private cloud deployment.

Through their North America Services, TD SYNNEX professionals can deliver these services directly to end users or resellers, ensuring SMBs receive tailored support at every stage of their cloud journey. The bundles include features for storage optimization, disaster recovery, and scalability, enabling SMBs to address immediate needs while preparing for future growth.

How the VMware Migration Services Program Works

The VMware Migration Services program is designed to leverage the expertise of distributors and the network Expert Advantage partners to deliver value to small and medium-sized businesses.

Distributors like TD SYNNEX play a central role in providing entry-level VCF functionality and engaging EAP partners for more complex implementations as customers scale their operations.

The services, as provided by TD SYNNEX, focus on three key areas:

  • Assessment: SMBs can evaluate their current IT environment and readiness for private cloud adoption using tools like VMware Health Analyzer (VHSA) and VMware Optimization Assessment (VOA). These tools provide insights into the customer’s infrastructure and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Implementation: Distributors and EAP partners assist SMBs in upgrading their vSphere environments to VVF or VCF. Services include disaster recovery solutions such as VMware Live Site Recovery (VLSR) and vSAN integration for storage optimization.
  • Expansion: As SMBs grow, they can access advanced features and scalability options, including vSAN integration for local storage, deduplication, and compression. This incremental approach ensures SMBs can adopt private cloud solutions at their own pace.

Benefits for Customers and Partners

The VMware Migration Services program offers several benefits for SMBs and partners alike:

  • Simplified Adoption: SMBs can access pre-packaged solutions that address their immediate needs while providing a clear path to full-featured VCF adoption. This approach reduces complexity and accelerates value realization.
  • Incremental Growth: SMBs can start with VVF and gradually expand their capabilities to include advanced VCF features. This incremental approach ensures SMBs can scale their operations as their business grows.
  • Expert Assistance: Distributors and EAP partners provide consultative services and technical expertise, helping SMBs navigate the complexities of private cloud adoption. This support ensures SMBs can fully leverage the benefits of VMware products.
  • Value for Partners: Distributors can add value at the VCF entry point and engage EAP partners for complex implementations, enabling them to grow their customer base and deliver impactful solutions.

TD SYNNEX’s Role in the Program

TD SYNNEX is the inaugural partner to deliver these new VMware Deployment and Recovery Services, setting the stage for other distributors to develop similar offerings tailored to their region. Through their North America Services, TD SYNNEX provides SMBs with access to a network of services professionals, including Broadcom’s Expert Advantage Partners.

TD Synnex offers a range of services, including VMware Health Analyzer assessments, VMware Optimization Assessments, disaster recovery solutions, and vSAN integration. These services are designed to address the unique needs of SMBs and simplify their transition to private cloud environments.
