Solving Real MSP Challenges with Agentic AI at Microsoft Ignite

AI is reshaping the managed services landscape faster than many expected, and partners are feeling both the momentum and the pressure to evolve. At this year’s Microsoft Ignite breakout session, “Solve Real Managed Service Provider (MSP) Challenges with Real Agentic AI,” partners gathered to explore how AI can meaningfully address the operational hurdles they face today.

According to TD SYNNEX’s fourth annual Direction of Technology reportnearly 75 percent of channel partners view AI as mission-critical for future growth. Yet many are still determining where to begin. This session was designed to offer clarity by connecting AI innovation to tangible business outcomes and a path to monetization.

Understanding Partner Needs in an AI-Driven Market

A consistent theme surfaced throughout the discussion: while AI is widely recognized as transformative, MSPs are seeking guidance on how to apply it in practical, outcome-focused ways. The questions raised reflected both interest and uncertainty, highlighting that partners want solutions anchored in real financial value.

When Brianna Berry, Strategic Business Manager, Hyperscalers at TD SYNNEX, and Jan Jofra, Senior Global High-Growth Transformation Practice Lead at TD SYNNEX, walked through examples such as automating ticket workflows, improving billing accuracy, strengthening security processes, and reducing repetitive manual work, partners immediately connected these scenarios to challenges they see every day.

Turning AI Capabilities into Scalable Service Value

One of the strongest areas of engagement centered on monetization – specifically, how MSPs can move from initial experimentation to building repeatable service offerings. Guidance on structuring AI-enabled services, from Copilot Chat efficiencies to fully automated agent workflows, provided partners with a realistic view of where new revenue opportunities exist today.

Through creating these opportunities with the Destination AI™ enablement framework, and hosting them in the StreamOne® Marketplace, the session demonstrated how partners can operationalize AI in a way that is both scalable and financially sustainable.

A Practical Roadmap for AI-Enabled Growth

To help partners visualize the journey ahead, Bri & Jan outlined a clear progression MSPs can follow:

  • Identify validated, high-impact use cases
  • Experiment in guided, low-risk environments
  • Operationalize repeatable workflows
  • Package and price standardized AI-enabled services
  • Scale offerings across customers as demand grows

This structured approach helped translate AI from a broad concept into a practical capability that partners can begin developing today.

My biggest takeaway from the breakout session was this: while AI is transforming the industry at remarkable speed, partners are still looking for the “how.” This session helped bridge that gap by offering a clear, actionable path forward rather than abstract ideas.

At TD SYNNEX, our role is to guide partners through this transition with the tools, expertise, and enablement needed to turn AI exploration into meaningful execution. With the right support, MSPs can build stronger, more efficient service models and position themselves as partners of the future in an AI-powered world.
